Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan and prepare for stacker operations
- Access, interpret and apply compliance documentation relevant to the conducting of stacker operations
- Obtain, interpret and clarify/confirm work requirements and shift details before proceeding
- Access, interpret and apply information on stockpile product, formation and conditions required to complete the allocated work
- Carry out worksite inspection and rectify or report hazards or other notifiable conditions
- Access and apply safety information and procedures throughout the work
- Operate stacker
- Coordinate activities with others at the site prior to commencement of, and during, the work activity
- Carry out pre-start, start-up, park-up and shutdown procedures
- Operate controls to stack materials
- Act on monitoring systems and alarms or report
- Recognise and respond to hazardous and emergency situations
- Complete work in accordance with the agreed plan and outcomes and within the operating capacities of the allocated equipment
- Carry out reporting and complete and process documents
- Carry out operator maintenance
- Carry out plant and equipment inspections and faultfinding
- Carry out routine operational servicing, lubrication and housekeeping tasks
- Carry out minor maintenance to manufacturer's instructions and site requirements
- Provide operator support during preparation for, and conduct of, major maintenance tasks
- Inspect and test structures and components for fault conditions, wear and need of repair or replacement
